"Let food be thy medicine and medicine thy food." ~ Hippocrates
Food is everywhere. It runs around in pret-a-porter-bags in the City of London. Or in Heidi&Paul- or Meyers-bags in Frankfurt. What & how we eat is the biggest game changer in our daily energy balance! Everyone has to have an opinion on it. SADly, most of our interaction with food and health topics is very superficial. And there's a lot of false information floating around. A lot of profiteering around food and health.
In fact, one of the most detrimental assumptions I've come across is that we need to eat daily and lots of it to survive. Of course, that's the mainstream mantra. Because it means lots of ca-ching, ca-ching for the food producers! Some people clearly do need to eat to get their energy (because they believe it, and because they've trained their bodies this way), others (including myself) do not! I actually find that most "food" weighs and slows me down these days. Even over-eating high life-force raw foods. So, we do have other sources of physical energy, and they're mostly unexplored, because we're busy elsewhere: Our lives revolve so much around hunting down that next snack or planning that weekend feast, it's completely craaaaaaaazy! Here's a myth-buster: Changing to a healing diet and working a high level (corporate) job are not mutually exclusive! That's a lame excuse that many of us hide behind. Still. The good news is: there is a solution - no miracle pill. It doesn't clear up your health issues over night. But over time, it will support you in your most vibrant state of health. I'm here to facilitate your gradual return to natural ways of feeding yourself. Just like Hippocrates suggested. I invite you to join me on this journey. |
My personal food breakthrough came in 2011, when I discovered green smoothies and raw food. Since then, I've continued experimenting with raw and cooked foods, meat & dairy, vegetarian & vegan fare, and fine-tuned my nutrition skills to adjust to many different situations and moods.
Personally, my quest for healing through food started all the way back in 2003. It's been a gradual process, as I sifted through much of the misinformation, and tried out a gazillion things on my own body. I have read far and wide about nutrition and health, and taken the Advanced Detox Training Course with nutritionist Natalia Rose, over at DetoxTheWorld.com. I have also spent years in trial and error experimentation until I got it right with my own body. When I first left my corporate career, I planned on adding another acronym to the many I already have on my resume, and enrolled at the Natural Healing Instititute in Encinitas, California, to become a certified Clinical Nutritionist. However, why waste my precious time and energy on a certification that has me study and start practicing according to a protocol that I already know won't work with my particular type of intuitive coaching? After all, my best reference is not another certification. My best reference is the healthy body and life I am creating for myself. My best reference is my personal ability and confidence to be the expert for my own body, and heal and maintain it with utmost care. Add to that my ability to intuitively meet my clients exactly where they're at, dial into their energy and create a customized action plan, and we're good to go! And if that's not the type of support you're looking for, look elsewhere, please. :-) We are what we eat. I look forward to helping you become your most vibrant self by adjusting your food choices (among other things). Make your tummy (and cells!) happy! <3 |
